I'm Sorry Rush!
Well, I'm not sorry, but a lot of people are. Check out the Democrats' website dedicated to Rush Limbaugh apologies.

Failure
While yesterday I wrote about how Keith Olbermann was losing his "ideas" oriented approach, it's fortunate for him that the conservative punditry never had an "ideas" oriented approach to begin with. Not for several years anyway. Now they've been reduced to the political equivalent of hecklers at a night club, the anti-cheerleaders of the Obama football team. What strikes me as odd is that, if Obama and his team "fail" as they wish for, many of these clowns will probably be out of a job too. Good luck with that.

Rick Santelli is an Idiot
Is there any reason to listen to this guy? According to the New York Times, Rick Santelli is on the defensive.

Rush Limbaugh, again
I'm usually a Keith Olbermann fan, but his glee at the total disarray of the Republican party, represented here by the infighting between chairman Michael Steele and the national leader of the conservative movement, Rush Limbaugh, borders on dangerous. Keith was a tremendous voice of opposition to the Republican party during its long years in office, but with a resounding Democratic victory in 2008 I fear he's lost his "ideas-oriented" approach and resorted too often to ridicule. But then again, watch these clips and tell me you don't agree with him...it's a hard thing to do!

RIP Paul Harvey
The media universe is filled with blowhards and morons, but Paul Harvey was not one of them. He was a true pioneer, a friend to journalism and he will be missed. Read the New York Times Obituary.

Why Pundits Get Things Wrong
A good article from Newsweek on why Americans like political pundits without despite the fact that they're frequently, oftentimes tragically wrong in their analysis and predictions.
